		<description>A mate of mine made some carrot whisky once using bread yeast, it did produce alcohol, the taste was awful though.

It all depends on the flavour you want. Your local homebrew shop will have the greatest range of yeast. For wines there are different yeasts for different wines. Red wines, white and ports all have different strains. As you beers, lagers use a different strain to ales. Lager yeast will give a much cleaner flavour when brewed cold (12-13C) ale yeasts work best at 22-24C. 

Some supermarkets sell homebrew supplies and usually provide a universal yeast that can be used with wine or beer. It all depends on the flavour and quality of the wine you are looking for.</description>
