Woodefordes Great Eastern Review
My latest venture homemade beer venture is a another from the Woodefordes stable, this time the Great Eastern Ale. Great Eastern is billed as being ‘a delicious, full flavoured, golden ale made with a blend of quality pale and lager malts.’ Originally brewed by Woodforde’s to commemorate 150 years of The Great Eastern Railway in Norfolk.
Now I’ve only just bottled this brew, but I think sampling the beer straight out the bin gives a good idea of what the finished beer will taste like. This one as it says on the tin is tastes quite a light beer, with a hoppy character but still is quite malty. I think it will make a great summer beer out in the garden with a BBQ, it’s not too strong so you won’t get wobbling leg syndrome too quickly.
